British Roller Derby Championships

PREVIEW – Women’s T4 Local North – Gameday 4

Hot on the heels of the Voodoo Roller Dollies hosted third day of Women’s Tier 4 Local North, this weekend will see the fourth exciting game of the division and features hosts Spa Town Roller Girls taking on current division leaders , Fierce Valley Roller Girls, with New Town Roller Girls squaring up against Preston Roller Girls.

After taking the victory against Voodoo Roller Dollies in their last game, Spa Town Roller Girls scored 370 points, and are currently sitting at third place in the division. Spa Town are currently ranked 183rd in Europe.

After a victory over Preston Roller Girls in the last game, Fierce Valley Roller Girls are currently ranked 40th in UKRDA. They are currently top of the division are winning both the games they are played in so far.

These teams have yet to play each other, and Flat Track Stats gives a 88% probability of a Fierce Valley victory with a ratio of 50:29 in the European rankings.

In the second game, New Town Roller Girls are all set to take on Preston Roller Girls. Ranked 347th in Europe, New Town are yet to win a game, after losing their first game to Voodoo Roller Dollies, and then having to forfit again Fierce Valley in the second game of the division.

Preston Roller Girls have won their first two games, but lost last time to Fierce Valley, and are currently ranked 201st in Europe.

These teams have yet to play eachother, but Flat Track Stats gives a 96% probability of Preston winning, with a ratio of 41:17 in the European rankings.

This should be an exciting fourth game, with the top of the division looking qutie tight! Join the fun at Harrogate Ladies’ College in Glasgow from 12.30pm.

The British Roller Derby Championships is Europe’s largest interleague Women’s and Men’s Flat Track Roller Derby Tournament. 72 women’s leagues from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are divided into four tiers for double header bout days spanning the year, with a playoffs to find who will be British Roller Derby Champions for 2015! For the first time, 14 men’s teams will also participate in the debut men’s British Championships tournament, with three tiers of double header action across the year!
